1. Diet Coke Cleans Exhaust.

Rust… we all hate it. No matter how hard you scrub, it just wont go away it seems like. This is especially true if you have chrome parts, which tend to get rusty easily. Simple hack, you need diet coke, tin foil, water, and a rag. First, pour some diet coke into the tinfoil and rub it over the chrome. Next, dip your rag into the water ad rub the chrome with your wet rag. Afterwards, you will be amazed at what it looks like!

2. Hand Sanitizer Unfreezes Car Locks And Acts As A Lubricant.

Having trouble unlocking your car? Is your car lock frozen? Or is your key fob dead? With this simple hack it’s no problem. Simply take hand sanitizer and squirt a glob on your key. Next, go in and out with your key until the lock becomes loose. May need to repeat depending on the situation. The hand sanitizer acts like a lubricant and will melt away the ice trapped inside the lock.

3. Keep Your Windshield Wipers Up When Not Driving Your Vehicle.

Lucky for me, I get to park in a garage.

Ice, we all hate scrapping it off our vehicle windows and it always seems to build up right underneath the windshield wipers. This build up can cause damage to the wipers. The wipers may not be able to get to the built up spot. Simple hack, every night before you go into your house, lift up your wipers into the air. Then in the morning it is easier to scrape your windows and your wipers will not get damaged.

4. Reuse Little Tree Scents With Febreze.

It is always nice to have a good smelling car. Little Car Tree Scents usually only last one to two days, then they are garbage. With this hack, take your Little Car Tree Scents and lay them on cardboard or hold above a trash can. Next, get a can of Febreze and spray the front and back of the tree. Let dry for five minutes and it should smell brand new.

5. Use Plastic Bags As A Trash Bag.

No one wants to have a landfill in their car, sometimes people forget to pick up after themselves. I have a simple hack for you, simply take a plastic bag and stick them into the center counsel or glove compartment. This will also come in handy if someone becomes car sick…

6. Mixing Water, Lemon Juice, And Glass Cleaner Will Make The Ultimate Window Cleaner.

Sick and tired of cleaning your vehicle widows constantly? Paying five dollars every time for a bottle of window cleaner that seems to never work? Simple hack, take an empty squirt bottle and fill it half way up with water. Next, add one fourth cleaner and one fourth of natural lemon juice. This mixture helps get red of hard spots and makes your windows smell and look refreshing. It is also cheaper and last longer then your regular glass cleaner!

7. If Your Car Is Over Heating, Turn The Heat On.

Uh oh… Car overheating? Running low on coolant? Need to get home? First, this should only be used for emergencies (5 minutes max driving). To start, turn your heat on max, have your air on high, and roll your windows down. Next, drive very slowly. The more you step on the gas, the hotter the engine will get. If that is not working, pull over, shut off the vehicle and pop your hood. Let the car sit for a good twenty minutes. If you see smoke while driving, stop the vehicle immediately.

8. Do It Yourself Fluids.

Getting your fluids professionally changed can cost you a boat load of money, especially if you drive your vehicle a lot. Changing you own fluids for your own vehicle is easy and way cheaper then going to a dealership. Simple hack, go to any auto store and have the employee search up your vehicle in the data base. Next, the employee should provide you with the correct information and show you what you are looking for. Always look up your vehicle fluids online or look at the vehicle manual just to make sure they are correct. Oil changes can cost any where from forty to sixty dollars at a dealership. If you do it your self it will cost you about half this and take a hour of your time. If you have your transmission oil changed at a dealership, it can cost any where from one hundred to two hundred dollars. If you do it your self it will cost about sixty dollars and another hour of your time. You can almost find any do it your self videos on you tube.

9. Use Keyboard Cleaner To Clean Your Vents.

Want to clean you dusty car vents? Simply spray some key board cleaner onto a cleaning rag and wipe down the vents. Doing this will get all the dust and particle out of the vents. Making your vents look nice and clean. You can also pop open your hood and find vents on the inside of the engine compartment.

10. Use A Plunger And Hot Water To Get Dents Out Of Your Vehicle.

Have a small dent in your car? This hack might come in handy. Simply get a hot bucket of water and a toilet plunger. Next, pour the hot water over the dent on the vehicle. Then quickly grab your plunger and suction over the dent. This might take some time but it should get rid of most of the damage.

Maintaining A Healthy Vehicle

Hello fellow bloggers, hope you are having an amazing day/night. Today we are gonna talk about how to maintain a healthy vehicle. Maintaining a healthy vehicle can save you boat loads of money in the long run, and it will keep your ride looking fresh everywhere you go. It is very important to maintain a healthy vehicle because as the vehicle gets older, sooner or later things will start to go wrong. Before we get started I should point out that this is not a blog post for people who beat their car and have mechanical problems that need fixing!!!

Lets get started shall we? To begin, the easiest and cheapest way to maintain a healthy vehicle is simply by giving it a car wash every other week. The more you drive around, the more dirt builds up on your vehicle, and especially if you live in the Midwest during the winter. If you rarely clean your vehicle, the dirt can start to eat away at your paint and also cause rust spots. Getting a car wash every other week will eliminate all dirt build up and your car will look well maintained.

My 2008 Nissan Altima with original paint.

When dealing with vehicles there is always a monthly/yearly maintenance such as getting a standard oil change, transmission fluid, break pads, and etc. The most important thing to check is always your fluids. You are suppose to get an oil change every 3,000 miles and there is a reason to that. After 3,000 miles the oils starts to sledge up and stick to all the gears which can cause damage if not changed. This also goes for your transmission, but this should be changed every 20,000 miles if you want to maintain a healthy vehicle. Yes, your spending money to maintain your vehicle, but in the long run that vehicle should have very few problems with it and should at least make it to 150,000 miles.

Changing your own fluids is simply and can save you a lot of money. If you do not know how to change your fluids, you can probably find a do it yourself video on Youtube.

Next, if your car is having trouble with gas mileage or simply losing horsepower, may I recommend getting a new exhaust or air intake. I personally had to buy a new exhaust for my 2008 Nissan Altima, because the previous owner used to live in a town where they used a lot of salt on the roads. The salt eventually rusted out the whole entire exhaust and I was left with a weird funky sound. I also was down about 3.4 MPG then what was listed online and I am sure I had a decrease in horsepower as well. I bought a $600 exhaust which is not bad at all, factory replacement would of cost me around $500 because my car is 12 years old. After a $150 labor charge, I had a increase in MPG, horsepower, and my car did not rattle when I stepped on the gas pedal anymore.

My old air box.

The last thing I recommend is an air intake. A air intake basically replaces the original air box that allows air to go into the engine through a filtration process. The main difference between an air box and a air intake is the air intake forces air into the engine while a regular air box just makes it flow through the engine. More air will increase your MPG and horsepower, it uses natural cool air instead of going through a filtration process. Also, forcing air into the combustion chamber will allow your piston to move more freely which creates more low revs. Most air intakes range around $200-$400 depending on if you get a performance one or not. Thank you for reading, hope this will help you out in the future because I know it has helped me out, have a great day/night.
